Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
Our focus for Pinot Noir is to produce diverse, small-lot (100 – 250 cases) wines from ultra-premium vineyard sites. Such small-lot production allows us to highlight flavor and complexity differences driven by vineyard terroir and micro-climate variations that are so influential in their contributions to Pinot Noir. Few experiences are more interesting than a horizontal tasting of vineyards from such diverse locations! As a counterpoint, we also offer a Pinot Noir blend that shows unique complexity within a single bottle that is achieved when blending from numerous vineyard sites. Highlighted vineyard sites in our Pinot Noir program include the following:
Escolle Vineyard: Santa Lucia Highlands AVA (Monterey County)
Radian Vineyard: Sta Rita Hills AVA (Santa Barbara County)
Bien Nacido Vineyard and Solomon Hills Vineyard: Santa Maria Valley AVA (Santa Barbara County)
Spanish Springs Vineyard: SLO Coast AVA (San Luis Obispo County)
We produced our first Chardonnay in 2019 from the acclaimed Bien Nacido Vineyard, from which we were honored to receive a 96-point score from Robert Parker. We are excited to release our next vintages of Chardonnay from Bien Nacido, so be on the lookout.…
We produce a vineyard-designate Pinot Noir Rosé from Escolle Vineyard in Santa Lucia Highlands, purpose-picked to yield a crisp Provence-style flavor profile. While it is somewhat unique to offer a designated Rosé, its style is perfect on the patio, but also when pairing with elevated cuisine.
